About the Role

The Financial Analyst – Pricing and Profitability is an integral part of Latham’s Financial Analysis team. This role will be responsible for applying financial, analytical, and business support, while performing profitability scenario analysis to support pricing decisions for firm management. This role will be located in our Global Services Office located in downtown Los Angeles office. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence. 

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Other key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with the Business Development team on new engagement opportunities by creating competitive and innovative fee proposals that meet strategic and financial goals
  • Assisting relationship attorneys with client rate negotiations by offering pricing advisory service and analytical support
  • Researching and identifying existing/historical firm matters to create standardized pricing templates that assist attorneys in developing budgets for new matters
  • Conducting internal analysis and external industry research around billable rates, fee structures, and pricing trends that drive key business decision making
  • Preparing presentation materials for pricing strategy discussions with firm leadership

  • Demonstrate well-developed and professional interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels of the firm
  • Display the ability to work in a team environment with a customer service focus
  • Possess the ability to work independently to research, analyze, and develop financial information

And have:

 

  • A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field
  • A minimum of one (1) year of related analytical experience in finance or accounting
  • Experience responding to ad-hoc requests, performing analyses, and producing reports
