About the Role

The Associate Recruiting Coordinator is an integral part of Latham’s Associate Recruiting team and will be responsible for coordinating all activities and processes involved in law student recruiting throughout each recruiting season, while supporting the Manager of Associate Recruiting in all phases of recruiting efforts, with a particular focus on the summer program, campus outreach, and law school hiring. This role will be based in either our San Francisco or Silicon Valley offices but will support both offices and require frequent travel between them. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence, with certain times of year requiring primarily in-office presence.  

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Other key responsibilities include:

 

  • Developing relationships with Law Schools and Campus placement offices
  • Serving as firm liaison to law school placement directors, vendors, and other recruitment professionals
  • Corresponding with incoming applicants to schedule interview dates and times, and coordinating information for the applicant and interviewer
  • Receiving, routing, and forwarding resumes for review by appropriate individuals and Recruiting Committee members
  • Coordinating all logistics in connection with the summer program which includes planning orientation, practice group and department overviews, and events; soliciting work, managing budget, and serving as a liaison for summer associates
  • Completing special projects regarding various issues as needed for the Recruiting Department

  • Possess well-developed and professional interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels of the firm
  • Display the ability to work in a team environment with a customer service focus
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Exhibit strong analytical skills with minimal supervision needed 
  • Possess organizational skills needed to manage time well, prioritize effectively, and handle multiple deadlines
  • Display strong attention to detail and quality assurance processes
  • Possess knowledge and proficiency in PC applications, including MS Office
  • Exhibit knowledge and proficiency in applicant tracking systems and interview platforms

 

And have:

 

  • A high school diploma or an equivalent with a Bachelor’s degree, preferably
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in professional recruiting
