About the Role

The Internal Communications Senior Manager is an integral part of Latham’s Brand & Communications team. This role will be responsible for acting as a strategic advisor, manager, and mentor, while designing and leading on brand initiatives, include providing expert, strategic counsel regarding current internal communication channels and recommending new ones and engaging with creative and video teams to create compelling visual and multimedia elements into communications. This role will be located in our New York office. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence. 

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Other key responsibilities include:

 

  • Developing and executing internal communications programs to enhance the reputation and awareness of firm programs across all internal channels
  • Providing creative thinking and strategy consulting, including comprehensive editorial calendars, internal product/service launches, awareness campaigns, issues promotion, and special projects
  • Developing and supervising the team by performing a multitude of responsibilities, including but not limited to, strategy development, hiring, mentoring, assignment, training, and evaluation
  • Reviewing and analyzing data to measure effectiveness, impact, and engagement of communications programs and special projects
  • Coordinating with other firm departments and committees and developing strong, collegial relationships across functions

  • Display superior leadership skills (i.e., organizing, planning, problem-solving and decision-making) necessary for effective management
  • Demonstrate the ability to understand the "larger picture" and firm business goals
  • Possess excellent professional interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels of the firm and adeptness at influencing and building consensus

 

And have:

 

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably with significant coursework in English or Creative Writing, Communications, or Marketing
  • A minimum of 10 years’ experience in developing internal campaigns for varied employee groups or clients
  • Experience managing and developing direct reports
