About the Role

The Global Associate Recruiting Assistant is an integral part of Latham’s Associate Recruiting team. This role will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Associate Recruiting Department, including the Director of Associate Recruiting, Global Associate Recruiting Managers, and Global Associate Recruiting Coordinators, by organizing and expediting workflow in connection with all phases of attorney recruitment and attorney development processes, while assisting the Associate Recruiting department with all phases of recruiting and development efforts for either new attorneys, lateral hires, or the Summer Associate program. This role will be located in either our Washington, D.C., New York, San Diego, or Los Angeles office. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence. 

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Other key responsibilities include:

 

  • Maintaining the associate recruiting department documents and filing systems
  • Ensuring receipt of updated documents for each candidate and organizing applicant materials for all candidates
  • Preparing weekly global hiring reports and assisting with various hiring reports, including pace and offer/acceptance reports
  • Downloading, sorting, and preparing summaries for arrivals and prepares onboarding documents
  • Preparing check requests for related events and expenses

  • Demonstrate well-developed and professional interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels of the firm
  • Possess the ability to develop and maintain a courteous, professional, and effective working relationship with clients, vendors, and other representatives of external organizations
  • Exhibit the ability to work in a team environment with a customer-service focus
  • Display specific data analytics skills, including the ability to interpret and leverage data to inform decision-making and strategy development

 

And have:

 

  • High school diploma or an equivalent required
  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent, preferably
  • Formal training in data analytics, preferably 
  • A minimum of one (1) year of administrative or office experience in related field, preferably
