About the Role

The Financial Manager - Data & Analytics is an integral part of Latham’s Workplace Experience team and will be responsible for supporting the Workplace Experience and Real Estate departments, while helping with the development of data program vision and goals, engaging with stakeholders to incorporate feedback and ensure alignment and support. This role will be located in our New York office. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Other key responsibilities include:

 

  • Helping with the development of data program vision and goals, and engaging with stakeholders to incorporate feedback and ensure alignment and support
  • Being a subject matter expert and providing strategic direction to firm and local leadership related to Workplace Experience and Real Estate activities; including but not limited to: workplace strategy, space management, capital projects, cost management/forecasting, and lease analysis
  • Preparing, reviewing, and presenting complex analyses and data modeling, with clear takeaways to inform business decisions, such as resource allocation of labor, costs and services, workplace and service strategy, and space requirements or preferred lease terms
  • Engaging and meeting regularly with stakeholders to identify business opportunities and challenges in workplace operations and deliver actionable data to meet local and firmwide strategies
  • Managing and developing junior colleagues, including delegating tasks and deadlines, refining work product, and training; providing feedback to management on team performance
  • Identifying process improvements and innovation across functional areas, including the development of analytical tools and coordination of data governance strategies
  • Working with cross-functional teams to lead and drive to completion of strategic projects
  • Developing, updating, and maintaining process and workflow documentation and best practices
  • Managing global budget and forecasting process for Workplace Experience and Real Estate related items
  • Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains

 

We’d love to hear from you if you:

 

  • Exhibit strong management and coaching skills
  • Possess advanced organizational skills needed to manage time well, prioritize effectively, and handle multiple deadlines
  • Demonstrate the ability to undertake large, long-term projects, develop alternative methods to complete them, and implement solutions

 

And have:

 

  • A Bachelor’s degree; a Master’s degree, Professional Certification, or an extended education in a related field, preferably
  • A minimum of ten (10) years progressively responsible, relevant experience in reporting and analysis
  • Experience with budgeting and general accounting procedures
  • Relevant experience at a professional services firm or Fortune 500 company, preferably
