The Associate Director of Workplace Experience – Global Vendor Strategy is an integral part of Latham’s Workplace Experience team, and plays a pivotal role in enhancing the workplace experience for both employees and clients within the organization. This role will be responsible for strategic planning, management, and execution of contracted workplace services to foster a productive, efficient, and engaging environment. The role will oversee provision of services, including facilities management, office services, food and beverage, and other employee support functions. This role will be located in our New York office. Please note this is an in-office position.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Other key responsibilities include:

  • Strategic Leadership: Developing and implementing a comprehensive vendor delivered workplace services strategy that aligns with organizational objectives and enhances employee satisfaction and productivity
  • Team Management: Leading, mentoring, and developing a team of workplace experience professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement, while demonstrating strong leadership and interpersonal skills to build and maintain a high-performing team
  • Vendor Management: Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with external vendors and service providers, collaborating with Global Procurement to negotiate contracts, establish service-levels, and drive value while optimizing vendor partnerships and service delivery
  • Budget Management: Developing and managing the workplace experience services budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions, financial accountability, and alignment with organizational priorities, while also utilizing financial acumen to deliver consistent value to the business
  • Innovation and Improvement: Identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement in workplace services, leveraging technology and best practices to enhance the employee experience, and applying analytical skills to assess and implement innovative solutions
  • Change Management and Communication: Developing and implementing communication frameworks to support change management, ensuring clear and consistent information dissemination, aligning efforts with strategic objectives to foster adaptability and resilience, and leveraging insights to anticipate challenges
  • Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains 

We’d love to hear from you if you:

  • Display proven experience in workplace experience management, facilities management, or a related field, with a track record of successful leadership in a similar role
  • Demonstrate expertise in managing budgets and financial planning
  • Possess excellent leadership skills, with the ability to lead multiple teams (i.e., organizing, planning, problem-solving, and decision making) necessary for effective management

And have:

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business administration, facilities management, or a related field, preferably a master’s degree or equivalent
  • A minimum of ten (10) years of progressively responsible operations or related experience, preferably at a multi-office professional services organization
  • A minimum of five (5) years of supervisory experience, preferably
  • Experience with commercial service contracts, budgeting, and general accounting procedures, preferably
