About the Role

The Editorial Services Lead is an integral part of Latham’s Brand & Communications team. This role will be responsible for contributing to a diverse range of editing and writing projects, while participating in specific editorial initiatives, which may include generating marketing communications, digital copy, thought leadership, award submissions, and lawyer biographies. This role will be located in our New York office. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence. 

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Other key responsibilities include:

  • Keeping abreast of trends within editing and marketing communications to present Latham’s value proposition, people, capabilities, and insights in ways that engage and resonate with a range of stakeholders
  • Upholding the quality of content produced by the team as it aligns with the firm’s strategic vision
  • Actively contributing to and managing aspects of editorial projects, maintaining a focus on excellence and timeliness
  • Remaining informed about the firm’s priorities, industry developments, and communication trends
  • Maintaining the integrity and consistency of information across all firm communication platforms, safeguarding confidentiality
  • Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains 

We’d love to hear from you if you:

  • Demonstrate excellent writing skills and the ability to produce high-quality content and adhere to department standards
  • Display a solid understanding of the marketing communications function and business development cycle within a professional services organization
  • Exhibit knowledge of Business to Business marketing concepts

And have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in marketing, journalism, or communications; a minimum of four (4) years’ relevant training and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • A legal degree or graduate degree in communications or business, preferably
  • A minimum of five (5) years’ communications, public relations, and/or journalism experience
  • A minimum of three (3) years’ professional services experience, preferably
