About the Role

The Associate Recruiting Manager – Entry Level Hiring is an integral part of Latham’s Associate Recruiting team. This role will be responsible for overseeing the entry level hiring process for the assigned region, while supporting the Recruiting Committee in hiring summer associates, new associates, and judicial clerks when applicable. This role will be located in our New York office. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence. 

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Other key responsibilities include:

  • Staying abreast of current and pending employment laws, market trends, and competitor recruiting policies
  • Supporting strategic initiatives of the firm’s management committees by developing and maintaining relationships with office leadership and recommending changes to enhance the firm's competitive edge
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with firm leaders and industry leaders, including regional law schools, while focusing on enhancing the firm’s brand and influence by coordinating outreach efforts and engaging with key stakeholders
  • Providing research, analyzing data, and generating reports to support the firm’s strategic goals and maintain a robust professional network
  • Overseeing a team that supports the manager and the firm in all endeavors, organizing, assigning, delegating, and coordinating staff work to manage workflow and resources effectively, especially during peak periods, while fostering a collaborative and efficient team environment
  • Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains 

We’d love to hear from you if you:

  • Demonstrate excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, including organizing, planning, problem-solving, decision-making, and effective interaction with all organizational levels
  • Exhibit proficiency in PC applications, including MS Office, database management, and applicant tracking systems, with the ability to conduct thorough analyses and reports
  • Possess the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with appropriate discretion

And have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • A minimum of seven (7) years’ experience in legal recruitment or professional services
  • A minimum of seven (7) years cumulative experience
  • A minimum of two (2) years’ supervisory experience in a related field, preferably
