About the Role

The Research Services Lead – Operations is an integral part of Latham’s Technology & Information Services team. This role will be responsible for supporting the development and maintenance of the department’s discovery platform, knowledge base, and collaboration workspaces, while supporting daytoday operations and ensuring the integrity and accuracy of the firmwide catalogue and discovery platforms, including the eLibrary. This role will be located in either our Chicago or Washington, DC office. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence. 

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Other key responsibilities include:

  • Working with other areas of Technology & Information Services to support systems configuration, platform upgrades, and maintenance, and to design and manage electronic and print content platforms to ensure resources are easily accessible, relevant to the task, and understood by end users
  • Overseeing the department’s knowledge base, and collaborating with the research team to develop and audit content
  • Managing the department’s collaboration workspaces, such as Microsoft Teams, iManage, and SharePoint
  • Supporting services including password management, research platform authentication, and migrations
  • Promoting effective work practices by working collaboratively as a team member and demonstrating respect for coworkers
  • Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains 

We’d love to hear from you if you:

  • Possess knowledge of electronic and print content administration systems and technologies, such as EOS
  • Demonstrate knowledge of bibliographic utilities and current cataloging standards
  • Exhibit experience with internet services and user authentication protocols, including IP authentication and single signon

And have:

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • A master’s degree or Juris Doctor (J.D.), preferably
  • A minimum of five (5) years of relevant professional experience, preferably
  • A minimum of seven (7) years of cumulative experience
