About the Role

The Counsel Recruiting Specialist is an integral part of Latham’s Partner Recruiting & Integration team. This role will be responsible for supporting the execution of the firm’s US lateral counsel recruiting efforts by coordinating processes, logistics, and communications across all phases of the hiring lifecycle, while supporting all phases of the US lateral counsel recruitment process from initial candidate introduction through final decisionmaking steps to ensure timely progression and process integrity at each stage. This role will be located in either our New York or Washington, D.C. office. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Other key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating interview logistics and communications, including scheduling meetings, coordinating with interviewers, and communicating clearly with candidates and recruiting stakeholders
  • Serving as a primary point of contact for lateral counsel candidates regarding scheduling, process updates, and interview logistics to support a polished and positive candidate experience
  • Collecting, tracking, and disseminating interview feedback in a timely and organized manner to support informed decisionmaking
  • Overseeing the processing of lateral counsel introductions submitted directly or through recruiting agencies
  • Maintaining accurate, complete, and uptodate records within the applicant tracking system to ensure appropriate document management and data integrity
  • Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains

  • Possess exceptional organizational and timemanagement skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively and manage multiple concurrent tasks
  • Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Exhibit the ability to adapt to shifting priorities, timelines, and demands in a fastpaced environment

And have:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • A bachelor’s degree, preferably
  • A minimum of two (2) years of recruiting or related law firm experience, preferably
