About the Role

The Associate Recruiting Senior Coordinator – Lateral Associates is an integral part of Latham’s Human Capital & Talent team and will be responsible for the recruitment and hiring of top talent for all associate-level positions at Latham & Watkins, while collaborating with the Associate Recruiting Manager to develop and implement strategies for lateral associate recruitment. This role will be located in our Washington, D.C. office. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Other key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing the end-to-end processing of applications and serving as the primary point of contact for candidates throughout the recruitment process
  • Preparing, analyzing, and presenting marketing materials and reports for stakeholders, while representing the firm at recruiting events
  • Managing relationships with search firms and external vendors, and supervising coordinators, assistants, and interns to support hiring efforts
  • Developing and managing recruitment budgets, monitoring expenses, and ensuring compliance with employment laws and best practices
  • Promoting effective work practices, working as a team member, and showing respect to co-workers
  • Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains 

 

We’d love to hear from you if you:

  • Exhibit well-developed interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively at all organizational levels and lead teams, with a customer-service focus
  • Possess advanced organizational and analytical skills to manage time, prioritize tasks, handle multiple deadlines, and supervise others to ensure compliance and accuracy, while using independent judgment for decision-making
  • Demonstrate proficiency in MS Office, applicant tracking systems, interview platforms, and other necessary software, with the ability to undertake large projects, develop alternative methods, and implement solutions

And have:

  • A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent
  • A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in legal recruitment or professional services
