About the Role

The Senior Manager – Global Public Relations Operations is a senior member of Latham’s Brand & Communications team and partners closely with PR leadership to translate strategic priorities into coordinated plans and effective execution, providing chief-of-staff-level support to the global PR leadership team. The role combines strategy support, operational leadership, and senior-level administration, helping the global PR function manage priorities, resources, information, and ways of working. This role will help strengthen the systems, planning, and coordination that enable the PR team to operate consistently and effectively. This role is located in our New York office. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence 

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Other key responsibilities include:

  • Partner with PR leadership to establish priorities, translate objectives into operating plans, coordinate leadership agendas and planning cycles, and monitor progress against commitment.
  • Connect work across regions, practices, industries, and specialist teams. to identify dependencies, resolve operational gaps, and ensure effective follow-through on decisions and actions.
  • Anticipate operational needs, surfacing risks, and recommend practical solutions that support PR leadership and the effective delivery of global priorities.
  • Develop scalable guidance, playbooks, protocols, and messaging resources that promote consistent, high-quality delivery across the global PR function.
  • Establish global operational standards across PR function.
  • Oversee global PR reporting and performance, including reporting, metrics, dashboards, trend analysis and vendor relationships.
  • Protect and maintain any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains.



We’d love to hear from you if you:

  • Have experience advising or supporting senior leaders, with strong business judgement and discretion.
  • Can translate broad priorities into practical, executable plans and drive progress across competing priorities.
  • Are comfortable navigating ambiguity, managing sensitive matters, and influence across functions without direct authority.
  • Possess deep knowledge of public relations operations and press office practices, including media relations workflows, editorial planning, monitoring and reporting, and issue vetting.
  • Have demonstrated success developing scalable operational plans, systems, and processes, with proficiency in project and resource management platforms (e.g., Asana), Microsoft 365 applications, Teams, and AI-enabled tools.
  • Exhibit experience managing enterprise PR technologies and vendor relationships, including media monitoring and database platforms, editorial calendars, content aggregators, and awards programs.

And have:

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably in Communications, Public Relations, or Journalism
  • A master’s degree or equivalent, preferably
  • A minimum of ten (10) years of relevant experience in PR operations, business operations, chief of staff, or related role
  • A minimum of thirteen (13) years of cumulative experience
  • Professional experience in and familiarity with the legal industry, preferably
